My girlfriend at little quiver posted some valuable information about natural ways we can stay healthy during the flu season, her posted flu preventatives are interesting, I believe they originated here.
Though all the suggestions follow what I have read in many sources.
The main ones: avoiding sugar and getting sleep, being diligent with vitamins and cleanliness.
The stranger ones being coconut oil ... which I have and never use, and feeding kids a mixture of onion and garlic and hot peppers (yeah right)
It all requires a bit of change to your general approach to daily life and planning ahead.
I am willing to try it.
