inuktituk

I remember enjoying when my best girlfriend, Belinda, sent common phrases home in prayer letters from Ireland...I am starting to prepare myself for learning common phrases from Baker Lake and look forward to teaching them to you...inuktituk phrases...so far I can see I will have serious trouble pronouncing things and anticipate many giggles from the local ladies trying to teach me to use the back of my throat...
apparently every region has a slightly different dialect so the internet searches I have been doing may hinder more than help...
I am pretty excited about our preparations though, although it is not a real journey yet, I will keep you posted!

Mike's trip up north was a positive experience despite the cold...the warmth of the locals and the pace of life is a definite draw to future endeavors there. Mike has been home one full day and says he misses Baker Lake. (I feel like that is a positive indicator of where life may take us in the near future...)

Our own Road Trip to Midale Saskatchewan was high lighted by puppies, grandma Myrtle, getting lost on the country roads late at night and having the RCMP looking for me!!!, excellent family time getting to know cousins and brothers and sisters...
