Made a profit at the hospital...

I make baby slings, hammock hugs, hip holdsters, pouches... whatever you call them.
Mainly I make them for friends, and then those friends get harassed in public places and they pass on my information and then people phone me, bang down my door and email me for a sling... Because it is very very trendy to wear a baby... and very beneficial to both parent and child for bonding, security, convenience...
so anyway... this week I went into the hospital- a 9 month pregnant person who packed a sling, 4 nursing bras, two pairs of pajama pants and no shirts for herself, and no going home outer-gear for baby in her hospital bag...
About 10 hours after giving birth I decided to take a stroll down the hall and stretch my legs, so I put little Fin into the sling (I wore the shirt I came to hospital wearing) and started our walk to the end of the hall and back... got no further than the nurses station 12 steps from my door and was attacked.

I left the hospital having sold 3 slings, given my email to a dozen people and with a beautiful baby boy.

AWESOME! LOL - that is funny, i love your quote "Because it is very very trendy to wear a baby" LOL....identity is a funny thing - at one time i found more physical identity in my apparel - these days i'm lucky if i can get out the door without my pj's on - i ran into one of the OsborneSt stores to get some nose rings - suddenly i was painfully aware of how naked i felt without my 2 babes (who were in the car w/dad), while being surrounded by fashionable crowd. TamiJo You look amazing for having a baby like a few hours ago!
