It's hard to post without pictures.

I didn't fall off the planet... I lost my camera.
Last seen on Canada Day.
Last photo taken: a cool dragonfly on a wrought iron fence. And I know it was a dragon fly because I learned it here... at the magnifying glass (NO NO -I knew it before that post, but it's a neat site to visit anyway....) Sure wish I could show you the cool pictures I took. I know Aleksa, for one, would be petting her computer screen, as dragonflies are one of the most pettable insects I know.
So, sorry for my absence. I will try to think of more words to share while my camera is off taking wonderful photos somewhere other than here...

Funny... reflecting on why it's so hard to post without photos... it must have something to do with the type of books I read lately. Finding myself only interested in beautifully illustrated picture books from the J section at the library...
We picked up this cute one the other day... by Ellen Stoll Walsh

(there! I was able to include a visual!) Truthfully I am also drawn to books that include the names of my children. That makes reading them so much more personal. Like Ellen Stoll Walsh, revisiting places I went as a kid (in a book) has been an exciting journey to take together with the boys. We just finished the Fudge books by Judy Blume (a favourite, if not THE favourite, author from my early reading days) They were a nice end to our first money theme unit at boys school as Double Fudge deals with a five year old's unhealthy attachment to money and some strange misconceptions that kids that age (my kids ages) have!

Anyway, all that to say I lost my camera. And that sucks.
